Santa Clarita Needs an Arts Center

Dear Supporters of the Arts in Santa Clarita,

Possible Future SCV Community Art & Culture Center

One of the most common concerns we hear from our community of artists is that WE NEED SPACE. We need space to rehearse, perform, record, paint, sculpt, film, teach, and meet! Would you like to have a place in Newhall that can accommodate all of these needs?

We can solve this!

Our artists need space.

We have a unique opportunity to make this happen, if we all take a moment to reach out to Supervisor Barger's office.

Allow us to explain:

The County of Los Angeles is in the midst of determining what to do with the recently vacated building located at 22900 Market St, Santa Clarita, CA 91321 (formerly the SCV Senior Center). Now that the SCV Senior Center has a beautiful new home, there is an opportunity to convert the former location into a well-equipped and ideally located Community Arts and Cultural Center. This has been in the City of Santa Clarita's Arts Master Plan and now is the time for us to reach out the our County Supervisor, Kathryn Barger, to ask for this to finally happen!

Here's what to do:

Here's how you can make a difference:

Dear Supervisor Barger, I am a supporter of arts in the Santa Clarita Valley and would like to see the County-owned building located at 22990 Market St, Santa Clarita, CA 91321 converted into a Community Arts and Cultural Center.  Ideally located in Santa Clarita's Old Town Newhall Arts & Entertainment District, this would add to the vibrancy of the North Los Angeles County's art economy.

Call Supervisor Barger.
